How to play Pokémon TCG
Two players send Pokémon into battle to Knock Out their opponent's Pokémon. The first to take all six Prize cards wins.

Set up
Both players shuffle a 60-card deck, draw seven cards, and put a Basic Pokémon in the Active Spot. You may put up to five Basic Pokémon on your Bench. Then set aside six cards face down as Prize cards.

Take your turn
Draw a card at the start of your turn. Then you can put Pokémon on your Bench, evolve Pokémon, play Trainer cards, and attach one Energy card from your hand to a Pokémon.

Attack
Your Active Pokémon can attack when you have the required Energy. Attacks deal damage and can Knock Out your opponent's Active Pokémon.

Win the game
After a Knock Out, take one of your Prize cards. Take all six to win. You can also win if your opponent has no Pokémon left in play or can't draw a card when their turn begins.
